In the world of professional photography, staying relevant means more than just keeping up with trends - it requires vision, innovation, and a curiosity that reflects evolving capabilities and values. For longer than I care to remember, I’ve been making pictures. In the early days that meant standing behind a 10x8 camera with a sheet over my head - look it up kids! - and fiddling with manual focus, light meters and those beautiful polaroids.
Fast forward over the years and we’ve witnessed the rapid and often bumpy change to digital imaging, specialist retouching, the addition of CGI and now AI. This continual evolution inevitably demands a wider set of skills and people. Our group learnt and grew together and led to what we now refer to as the Barton Hill Bunch.
As our capabilities have expanded, so too has our vision. The shift to BHB symbolises a broader, more powerful approach to visual storytelling that integrates traditional photography with CGI, expert retouching and AI, enabling us to push creative boundaries and elevate what’s possible in making images. With BHB, we’re aligning our identity with our forward-thinking approach, combining vision with technology to not only meet the needs of clients, but also expand their expectations.

Why Barton Hill Bunch? well we’re still based in our fantastic studio in Barton Hill, a Victorian warehouse built by Brunel in 1838 to house the south of England’s only cotton mill. This setting fuels our creativity and reflects the essence of our work - blending tradition with the cutting-edge. Our studio is designed to support our hybrid photography approach, equipped with advanced technology and a dynamic, flexible space that inspires the team and our clients alike.
